Evil Glee

Ahhh, there are times when justice is served and there are times when it is poetic justice. Such has happened at the work place. There is a lady, we will call her Crazy, who quite often spends most of her day emailing or talking to people who have made simple mistakes. For instance, I once was in the middle of my workday and took a break, she came into my work area and started cleaning, straightening and rearranging it. Another instance: she, over the past two weeks has been emailing our support staff almost daily telling them that they need to be sure to wash off this certain cart. There are many such stories, they are all passed around and thoroughly enjoyed like campfire ghost stories. Today, Crazy had to do some "menial" work that she would rather have not had to do, but because we were short a person, she HAD to pitch in. This menial work was so beneath her that she left half-way through, leaving the equipment turned on, the fume hood a huge mess and in general not doing the same sort of job she "expects" from us. Well, needless to say, the last part of my day was spent in a bit of glee at her misforune of being assigned a task that she screwed up on, and sharing with others of her victims, ways in which to return her frequent reminders about cleaning and turning off equipment. Someone (not me) left a little note in the fume hood stating that it was left a mess, the date that such mess happened and that it was not the way we should leave our equipment. I know, I know...this is all a little juvenile, but hey, you gotta find your fun where you can find it.

Work has been really busy, they lied when they said that July was our busy season, Now till January is our busy time...course that may just be for us in the lab.

Boys are good, tried an experiment on S this week. He has been having trouble since starting in 5th grade with staying on task, organization and other such stuff. These have always been problems but lately it is really starting to show since 5th grade is a little more self-directed. So the experiment was set up in such a way as to give a difinitive answer as to whether he too has ADD, and guess what...the teacher pulled me aside on the first day of it (she did not know anything) and commented on how very improved his attention, organization and on taskedness (I make up my own words!) had been that day and that the talk we had on Friday must have had a great impact. I will be writing her soon to let her know the truth! So he is getting through his homework faster! So, there ya go.

Hubby is good, he is going to have to go to a 4 day drill next month...ick...I will say now that I am eternally grateful for the help of my friends, they have always been there for me and they have always helped me out when he is gone, with or without the car!

I have been thinking about going back to school, just part-time, to get another degree, this time in teaching for single subject...I think I could be a good teacher...eh...food for thought.

Okay, well I have rambled enough for now...have a great day you all, lots of love to everyone...blah...blah...blah
