No Title

Suffice to say I just very nearly faced one of my worst fears listed in this blog a few months ago. However, I did not face that particular fear but was in some pretty severe pain for the last several days and it is not over yet. I called my new job that I was supposed to go to an orientation/interview yesterday but as I was in the ER I could not...the temp agency that I got the job through decided that they would replace me because they got the message wrong.

Here is my version of the message:
"I am headed to the ER and will not be able to go to the orientation, I was wondering if I might be able to reschedule and go on another day. I have what looks like appendicitis."

Here is what they heard:
"I have appendicitis and cant go to the orientation."

Because of this idiot on the other end of the line that can't take a message I get replaced in the job! WTF...Honestly, if you can't take a decent message don't answer the freaking phone!!

Anyway, I am on some nice pain meds and things are looking better...just had to vent a little there...so back to this job search thing...lol.

Hallelujah!!!

The hole in my back yard is FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY being fixed!! The septic system screwed up WWWAAAAYYYY back in Feb. and through many failings on the weather, scheduling and the landlord putting things off has not been fixed yet. They dug the system out and we have been dealing with a hole in the back yard and having to say to the kids that come over, "Dont go near the hole!"

Today the septic guys are here with a little bobcat and are digging it out!!!!! Soooo, hopefully by tomorrow it will be all fixed!

Long time no blog

Huh...it just occured to me that it had been a long time since I have blogged so here I go.

I am still looking for some type of work, there was a lab tech position in the paper that I have applied for and hopefully will get...not sure though...never know, but it is for a water tester for bacteria in our area. Fun, fun, fun. but hey, it will pay the bills and who knows it may even have medical insurance!! Yay.

The boys last day of school is next Friday and I can't wait...we may be going camping up at Little Grassvalley over the 4th of July weekend with my dad and step-mom. I love camping with my dad...I miss being able to spend time with him...

Things otherwise are going well too, although I am still waiting on the school to get it posted that I have graduated...I can just see it now...the VA will not pay me until they see it I am sure...So I am pushing all the buttons to make sure they get their asses in gear!! Bastards...Let me tell you, If you ever join the military...keep copies of every document, record every phone call, keep in touch with every person involved with anything you have to do and hold their hands to make sure they are doing their jobs!!!!!

The neatest thing!!!

My dad is in Hawaii for his birthday with some of my aunts and uncles. He called me just minutes ago and told me to go to this website where you can watch the beach on Waikiki (sp?) and there he was!!! It was so very cool!!!

"Jobbed"

Well sorta anyway. I went back to my old employer today...the temp agency. They had an immediate opening for a receptionist but it will only last three days. This will be Monday through Wednesday next week 8 hours a day and $10/hr. Not too shabby but I will not stop looking...a temp job is just that...a TEMP job. But it will bring in a little cash to put towards my new fish tank.

Yes, a new fish tank. The girls across the street are moving, and they put a fish tank outside for free...it is a 31 gallon monster with working lights but the filter is bad. I looked online and can buy one for about $25-40 and get it working...then put some fishies in it!!! Yay...have missed my fishies since the last one died about a month and a half ago and this one is SOOOO big!

On a side note the VA is being a pack of bums but they have been finally put in their place and things are right again.

Well...that is about it...still working on working and swimming lots in my pretty pool...which the pump has gone out on btw....bad news for the clarity but we may still have a few days yet...the pool guy is coming by tomorrow and maybe will be able to fix it...hope so!!

The woes of "sub-urban" life...

Mailbox baseball is a long time hobby of some of the more rowdy of teenagers. I myself have thought about participating in this particular sport. Unfortunately I have now paid my dues for that and other probably more destructive past times in which I have been known to enjoy.










This is not as some of you may know a picture of my mailbox but the fact that it is now dented severely on the right side and the door won't close is good enough....they actually knocked the box right off the post!!!

I wonder if the mailman will even deliver if he can't close the door...anyone know???
